Overview

The Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) was passed in January 2013. In early 2014, the National DNC (Do-No-Call) Registry will be ready. It allows private individuals to register if they do not wish to receive marketing messages from calls, SMS and fax. In mid-2014, the Act will go into full force, forcing companies that market and sell to consumers to realign their sales and marketing efforts as they comply with the new law.
